I'm eighteen, and much of how I learn has come through making. At first glance, my interests in woodworking, entrepreneurship and animal welfare might seem unrelated.
Looking back, though, I see a pattern, the dots have always connected backwards and these interests have come to fit together. To me, they've never felt like separate pursuits.

As each project grew, so did the questions I was asking. Furniture taught me to balance creativity with function. The Waggy Impact taught me entrepreneurship, how to keep customers' trust and how to make sure the business gave something back, not just sold something.
My internship at Phantom Hands reinforced that same lesson from the other side: craft without systems doesn't scale. Systems without craft don't matter. I'm trying to hold both.
