I started looking at discarded pieces of wood differently, not for what they were, but for what they could become. That simple shift in perspective led me to pick up my first tools and start building.

Learning woodworking taught me how to build. Designing functional objects taught me how to solve problems.
Every project demanded more than craftsmanship, it had to be functional, intuitive and built around the needs of its user. That changed the questions I asked.
I stopped asking, "How can I build this?" and started asking, "How can I make it work better for the person using it?" That shift continues to shape how I approach design today.
